WHO WE ARE
Previously known as Qatar Gratings and Road Barriers WLL our company is now having its name changed to “Doha Gratings and Metal Works WLL”. It is a Joint Venture company between the Qatar based Pioneer for construction and development WLL of Almana Group of Companies and German company Lichtgitter Gesellschaft mbH, pioneer in grating manufacturing.
We started our operations in March 2008, complementing to the rapid development of Qatar and a huge demand of gratings in the region. With respect to the operations, all the technical know-how, Production processes and Quality Management system is been provided and monitored by Lichtgitter Germany. Finance and Administration part is managed by Almana Group Doha.
As face of the joint venture, Doha Grating and Metal Works (also known as Qatar Gratings and Road Barriers WLL) supply Gratings manufactured in Germany and do represents the Principal Company “Lichtgitter Germany” in the Middle east region.
We import Gratings (both forged welded and pressure locked type), Metal Planks and GRP products we import from our parent company Lichtgitter GmbH.
We serve our client locally for all its need regarding installation, site survey and technical queries.
Started predominantly to take up gratings projects in Qatar, we are now also dealing in turn key job complementing to our original products such as structural supports, handrails, access covers, walk ways and Ladders etc…
We are also making Heavy Duty Galvanized gratings in Doha and we intend to start assembling GRP Ladders very soon.
At present to meet the short delivery requirements, we are keeping grating stock of commonly used specification in Doha and can fabricate 100 to 150sq.mtr per Day of Material followed by galvanizing in Qatar Galvanizing Company (Sister Company) and supplying to the door steps of the Client.
We have a new department, which deals with supply of Ductile Iron products, already have approval which is made in India under exclusive partnership agreement with one of the leading foundry in India.

Lichtgitter is an approved technical welding company according to DIN 18800-7 and is in possession of the welding certificate for rail vehicles and parts according to DIN 6700-2.
Lichtgitter is a member of trade mark association Edelstahl Rostfrei. In Lichtgitter Quality Control is done according to RAL-GZ 638 and RAL-GZ 639 Possessing Quality Management System, according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 Galvanization always Confirming to DIN EN ISO 1461 / ASTM A123
